60-Day Public Review and Comment Period Extension Announced
Lead state and federal agencies have extended the public comment period by 60 days for the BDCP/California WaterFix Partially Recirculated Draft Environmental Impact Report/Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (RDEIR/SDEIS). The comment period began on July 10, 2015 and now concludes on October 30, 2015. This extension gives the public more time to consider refinements and changes that have been made since the 2013 Draft EIR/EIS and provide comments.

Written Comments may be submitted via:

  • Mail to BDCP/WaterFix Comments, P.O. Box 1919, Sacramento, CA 95812
  • Email to BDCPComments@icfi.com
  • At a public meeting – see below for details

Comments must be received electronically or postmarked on or before October 30, 2015.

BDCP/California WaterFix Public Open House Meetings- Join Us Next Week
As part of the public review process for the BDCP/California WaterFix RDEIR/SDEIS two public open house meetings are being held next week to provide more information on the contents of the RDEIR/SDEIS and to accept public comments.

  • Sacramento – Tuesday, July 28, 2015, 3:00 – 7:00 p.m., Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel, Magnolia Room, 1230 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95814.
    • Directions to the Sheraton can be found here or using Google Maps.
    • Valet parking is available at the Sheraton or self-parking  is available at one of the nearby public parking garages shown here.
  • Walnut Grove – Wednesday, July 29, 2015, 3:00-7:00 p.m. Jean Harvie Senior and Community Center, 14273 River Road, Walnut Grove,  CA 95690.
    • Directions to Jean Harvie Senior and Community Center can be found here or using Google Maps. (If you are using an older version of Internet Explorer we recommend using Google maps to obtain directions to the Jean Harvie Senior and Community Center.)
    • Parking is available at the community center.

PLEASE NOTE: Public meetings will be an open house format.There will not be any formal presentations or panel to receive public comments. Informational exhibits and project team members will be available throughout the meeting for one-on-one assistance and a court reporter will be available for those wishing to give verbal comments.Those wishing to provide verbal comments to a court reporter will have a three-minute time limit so that others may also provide verbal comments. Written comments of any length may be submitted.  If no one else is in line to provide verbal comments, additional time may be granted at the discretion of staff.
