Redwood City, San Carlos, Belmont, and West Bay Sanitary District

Update #50 (June 29, 2015) for

48-inch Force Main Reliability Improvement Project:

SVCW Pipeline Work Resumes on Bair Island

Beginning this week, June 29, 2015, and continuing on and off through October 15, 2015, the contractor completing the SVCW 48-inch force main improvement project will be working on the levee area on Inner Bair Island across the slough from the Marina Pointe Townhouses and The  Villas at Bair Island located on Bair Island Road.

This is the final phase of the pipeline construction adjacent to theses residences.  SVCW will have full-time inspection staff monitoring this work on a daily basis.  At this time, the schedule for construction is Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Should there be a change to this schedule we will notify you immediately.

This project will not be driving piles of any kind so there should be no noise or vibration related with the project.  Dust will be controlled.  There will be excavation equipment similar to that used by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife contractor when they were working on the Island.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We are nearly finished with this segment of work.
