CELEBRATING A DECADE OF SUCCESS

In the past 10 years, our team has completed more than 125 projects for over 60 clients across a variety of sectors. Through our efforts, we increased effectiveness and capacity of over 250 organizations and created or enhanced over 1.5 million square miles of marine and terrestrial protected areas.

HIGHLIGHTS 

Blue Earth Consultants is hard at work supporting organizations globally and providing effective solutions towards marine and terrestrial conservation and sustainability. Some key ongoing and completed project highlights from the past few months include:

  • Developing and facilitating a two-day interactive workshop on California coastal resilience with the University of California, Irvine to be held Wednesday, July 22 through Thursday, July 23, 2015 (Click Here to Register Now)
  • Implementing an evaluation tool to assess effectiveness of the Annual Marine Outreach and Education Virgin Islands Style Workshops for NOAA National Marine Fishery Service
  • Conducting a training on fundraising for the Beahrs Environmental Leadership Program at the University of California, Berkeley
  • Developing a partnership operational strategic plan for the Global Sharks and Rays Initiative
  • Revising the Master Plan for Marine Protected Areas for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife with support from Resources Legacy Fund
  • Developed a 2005-2014 Implementation Evaluation of the California State Wildlife Action Plan; now developing nine sector-specific companion plans for the State Wildlife Action Plan for California Department of Fish and Wildlife
  • Developed a conservation plan for water-related birds in Texas and Oklahoma for the Oaks and Prairies Joint Venture, in collaboration with the Texas Department of Fish and Wildlife, Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, Audubon Texas, American Bird Conservancy, and other partners
  • Conducted a landscape analysis of impact investors focused on innovative ocean technology and solutions and supported strategic plan development for a foundation
  • Assessed performance, impact, conditions of success, and lessons learned on marine protected area investment in three geographies for the Walton Family Foundation
  • Facilitated the development of “The California Collaborative Approach: Marine Protected Areas Partnership Plan” with a Marine Protected Area Statewide Leadership Team
