This is a message from the State Water Resources Control Board

The State Water Board’s Executive Director is notifying post-1914 appropriative water right holders in the Sacramento, San Joaquin, Russian and Eel River watersheds of plans to temporarily release them from curtailment during upcoming intermittent precipitation events.

The notice is posted at:

http://www.waterboards.ca.gov/waterrights/water_issues/programs/drought/docs/curtail_lift.pdf

Due to the uncertainty of the drought extending into the new water year and the timing to permanently lift curtailments, this plan will provide water right holders, that have been unable to divert water since earlier this summer, opportunities to collect water as a result of significant upcoming precipitation events subject to the terms and conditions of their water rights. Since storm events are dynamic, notification under this plan will be made by lyris notification only.

Parties subject to curtailment should subscribe to this lyris list or continue to monitor the Drought website to receive information on the status of curtailments.
