California Energy Commission Delays Compliance With Energy Disclosure Program for Smaller Nonresidential Buildings
Highlights
The California Energy Commission recently delayed the compliance date for the second phase of the Nonresidential Building Energy Use Disclosure Program (AB1103). While the second phase, which imposes disclosure requirements for buildings of at least 5,000 square feet, was supposed to take effect on July 1, 2014, the compliance date has been pushed to July 1, 2016. The first phase, which took effect on January 1, 2014 and applies to buildings of at least 10,000 square feet, remains in effect.
