Proposed FY 2015-2020 San Francisco Bay Ferry Fare Program |

San Francisco Bay Ferry is seeking public input on its proposal to establish a FY 2015-2020 Fare Program. The proposed Fare Program will focus on establishing consistent fare category definitions, streamlining fare products offered, and promoting a consistent level of discount pricing. These initial changes would be implemented beginning in November 2014 for all San Francisco Bay Ferry services. A second component of the Program is to introduce annual fare increases that are designed to offset inflationary cost increases and rising operational and fuel costs. Fare increases would be implemented annually beginning in July 2015 for the duration of the proposed Fare Program. To review specific proposed changes for all services, click here (PDF). On May 8, 2014 the Water Emergency Transportation Authority (WETA) Board of Directors authorized staff to seek public input on the proposed Fare Program. As part of its outreach efforts, staff has scheduled a series of public informational meetings throughout the San Francisco Bay Ferry service area. If you are unable to attend an informational meeting or would prefer to submit your comments in writing, please send your input by email to fareprogram[at]watertransit.org or by letter to San Francisco Bay Ferry, Pier 9, Suite #111, The Embarcadero, San Francisco, CA 94111. All comments or questions should be submitted to San Francisco Bay Ferry by July 15, 2015 to ensure that your input is considered. In August 2014, a Public Hearing will be scheduled to receive public comments on the final proposed Fare Program. The final proposal would be presented to the WETA Board for possible approval at its regularly scheduled meeting in September 2014.
