A message from the Bay Institute and Aquarium of the Bay:

I’m pleased to announce this 25th Anniversary Celebration of the San Francisco Bay Trail.  It is coming up fast.  Please join us at this historic event and help us celebrate.  We will have great food, drinks, and each registered attendee will receive a full set of Bay Trail maps ($16 value).  The evening includes a wonderful photography exhibit, and three fantastic speakers.

The Presenters:
  • Kurt Schwabe (Bay Trekker) Meet Bay Trail Trekker Kurt Schwabe who will give a talk about his historic walk around the entire 300-plus mile Bay Trail in 30 days.  See his spectacular photography exhibit “Walking the Bay Trail: A Photo Journal” at the Bay Model with stunning photos of the scenery and wildlife along the trail.  This exhibit will remain at the Bay model until March 31st.
  • Sam Schuchat (Coastal Conservancy) Learn about the Coastal Conservancy’s leadership efforts to support public access statewide and specifically their support for San Francisco Bay Trail expansion.
  • Bruce Beyaert (Trails for Richmond Action Committee/TRAC and San Francisco Bay Trail Project) Hear about on-the-ground partnership efforts to create and maintain the Bay Trail.
