Please save the date and plan to attend a meeting slated for Monday, December 2, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. in the MTC Auditorium, 101 Eighth Street, Oakland.
Background: Two new transportation funding proposals totaling nearly $10 billion were discussed November 13, 2013, at MTC’s Programming and Allocations Committee meeting. A Cap and Trade proposal, along with a Transit Core Capacity Challenge Grant proposal, come in response to Plan Bay Area, which was adopted in July. These new funding programs, which aim to bolster the region’s aging public transit network and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, are being released for public review.
