Today we’ve released the sixth case study in our weekly series profiling examples of misuses of CEQA: Lucas Films Studio expansion, Marin County.
After 10 years and countless environmental reviews and concessions, the threat of a NIMBY CEQA lawsuit was “the last straw” and caused Skywalker Properties to withdraw the project altogether – costing the community tens of millions in environmental restoration, hundreds of permanent jobs and millions in economic growth and tax revenues.
